Mother’s Day

I hope all you mommas had a great Mother’s Day. I certainly did. My day began with a delicious breakfast of crepes, yogurt and fresh fruit. There was free time for gardening. Millie gave me an adorable handprint picture she made in daycare. Aaron (and the kids) gave me a really sweet gift of a handmade growth chart for the kids.  Made from a 1 x 3 inch board painted white, this growth chart is simple and so sweet and sentimental.  It is something we can hang anywhere in the house and then take it with us if we ever move. Aaron used a thick black sharpie to make the measurements and a thinner marker to write the dates and age of measurements. (Well… Emelia’s previous measurements.)

And then Aaron made a delicious supper – rustic smashed potatoes with sauteed spring greens (including asparagus and fiddleheads) and feta. Yum! And of course, I had a chat with my mom.
